Selling Your Home?

Good day!

When selecting a broker or agent to sell your home please keep in mind there are many hats to be worn by your representative. Here are some of the things they should do and do well:

  • Listen to exactly what you are trying to do and do their best to help you accomplish it.

  • Explain the order of things and how they work.

  • Help you price the home properly and give you a written explanation of the expenses involved.

  • Explain the importance of properly disclosing defects or potential defects so you minimize the chances of problems after closing.

  • Help you to get your home ready for showing.

  • Display your home in it's best possible light with quality photography and a well written description.

  • Keep you informed with up to date showing feedback once the home is on the market.

  • When an offer or offers are submitted being certain the buyer(s) are qualified.

  • Help you negotiate the best results fully explaining the terms and potential outcomes based on past experience.

  • Help you with post inspection issues that can arise including what to do should the home need to go back on the market because of a failed inspection.

  • Keep a watchful eye beyond the inspection to ensure a smooth transition to closing.

  • If trouble spots arise, get to the core of the problem quickly and determine the best resolution.

  • Review your closing statement to be certain the fees and prorations are correct.

  • Celebrate closing and the passing of keys!
